3 simple Memory Strategies For Children

,

Do you find that your child is lacking in memory or that they could do with an early boost in memory in their life. Giving children the valuable skills they need early on in life is so much worth it later on in life. Succeed these straightforward memory strategies for children:

Remove Distractions

One of the main problems with why children have such bad memory nowadays is that they have a short attention span. They are constantly bombarded by adverts throughout their life and are unbelievable to do things of course quickly. So how can this help you child? You have to take off all major distractions from their life. I would suggest losing the television because it is a serious culprit in distracting children.

Make Memory Fun

All kids want to do is play and have fun. So you have to make memorizing things fun. Make it into a game. For example, use visualization. For all that the child is trying to remember, have them hold a picture in their mind of what they are trying to remember. You will find this technique works best with creative children. You can also use mnemonics which are more beneficial with children who have shown good potential in languages. For example, you could tell them that Face and Every Good Boy Deserves Football (Egbdf) are great ways of remembering the notes on musical scales. Once they start getting rewarded in class for their attention and memory, you will see the benefits.

Reward Them

As humans, we all look to avoid pain and gain pleasure. A child may find memorising fun if it is with a game but it all the time makes sense to bonus them for putting in exertion and getting results. One thing is predominant here though. You have to Succeed through on rewards. If you sometimes give it them and sometimes don't them they will struggle to link the memory games to satisfaction in their mind.
